Originally written while Charisse Sky was a teenager back in 2016, the song details the first signs of inconsistency in a relationship through rose-colored glasses. During the recording process in late 2022 the song took on a new perspective, where she watches an avoidant attached lover unpack fears and triggers surrounding love using distance and stoicism as a coping mechanism. The song is the first single from her debut EP Bittersweet Addictions Vol 1, and is her first single to be uploaded somewhere other than Opensea.
